Lauren Battle

Lauren Battle is a Government Relations Manager at TFAH where she leads the organization’s advocacy within its behavioral health portfolio, focusing on substance misuse, suicide, and mental health.

Before joining TFAH, Lauren served as the Health Policy Advisor for former U.S. Senator Laphonza Butler. Lauren led Senator Butler’s health policy agenda, helping to advance the senator’s priorities surrounding youth mental health, women’s health, and maternal and child health. Prior to her time in Senator Butler’s office, Lauren served as a Health Policy Advisor with the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). Her portfolio included mental health and substance misuse, maternal and child health, and food safety and nutrition. Lauren began her HELP Committee experience as a Health Policy Fellow, through the David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship.

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts from the George Washington University in sociology and received her master’s degree in public health from Columbia University. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
