Jane Gilbert

Jane Gilbert is the chief heat officer for Miami-Dade County. She leads resilience strategy development to address the increasing health and economic risks associated with extreme heat. Gilbert is also managing principal of Resilience Consulting. Prior to this, she was Miami’s chief resilience officer, responsible for climate and urban resilience strategy for the city and, in partnership with Miami-Dade County and city of Miami Beach, the greater Miami region. Previously, Gilbert managed The Miami Foundation’s civic leadership agenda on sea level rise and Wells Fargo’s philanthropy and community affairs in South Florida. Earlier in her career, Gilbert was founding executive director for the nonprofits Dream in Green and Arts for Learning/Miami
