ACA Repeal Would Mean Massive Cuts To Public Health, Leaving Cities And States At Risk

According to an analysis by the Trust for America’s Health, the state of North Carolina, home to public health champion Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), would lose more than $85 million in grants from the CDC over the next years if the fund were repealed. Approximately five million dollars each year in funding to prevent diabetes, heart disease, and stroke prevention—leading causes of death and health care costs—would be gone.
