Eating healthier can prove cheaper

Many people think it's cheaper to eat calorie-laden fast food than it is to prepare a healthful, home-cooked meal.  

“That is definitely a perception that people have,” said Julie Kennel, program director for the department of human nutrition at Ohio State University.  

“But there are choices that are going to allow somebody to eat more nutrition-dense food at a lower cost.”
