PRESSURE ON OZONE – Public health and green groups are keeping pressure on EPA to tighten federal smog standards to the strictest level recommended by the agency’s science advisers. A coalition of groups including the American Lung Association, the American Public Health Association and others sent a letter to Administrator Lisa Jackson yesterday urging her to ratchet down the limit despite fierce industry opposition.
