Light-Hearted Campaign To Fight Alarming Obesity Trend

SEATTLE - Hot weather means its time to squeeze into that swimsuit. But this summer, it's not your belly or your thighs you need to worry about. It's your ''cankles.'' That's what happens when your calves get so big you can't tell the difference between them and your ankles. This campaign from Gold's Gym is a light-hearted invitation to look at our health, which a recent study shows is no laughing matter.

Sad but true: the Trust for America's Health now says in 31 states, including ours, at least one out of four people is obese. Gold's Gym says the place a lot of us are seeing that fat is right on the cankle. Fitness experts hope this funny word will get you to take obesity seriously.
